Kentucky President Results: Trump Wins
Donald Trump has won the Kentucky contest, NBC News projects, and secured the state’s eight Electoral College votes. In 2020, Trump won Kentucky with 62% of the vote to Biden’s 36%. In 2016, Trump won Kentucky with 63% to Hillary Clinton’s 33%. Though Kentucky is reliably red in presidential elections and Republicans enjoy a supermajority in both state legislative chambers, a Democrat, Andy Beshear, was elected governor in 2019.

NBC News isn’t showing a breakdown by type of vote in Kentucky. Some states and some individual counties provide results broken down by the type of ballot cast, which can include Election Day votes, or those cast early, either in person or by mail. That information isn’t widely available in Kentucky.
