Voters in Louisiana will cast ballots in the state's six congressional districts. Louisiana holds open elections without a partisan primary. If a candidate gets 50% of the vote, they are declared the winner. If not, the top two candidates go to a runoff. In the 1st Congressional District, five candidates will be on the ballot: Republican Steve Scalise, the incumbent; Republican Randall Arrington; Republican Ross Shales; Democrat Mel Manuel; and Frankie Hyers, who has no party affiliation. The race in Louisiana's 4th Congressional District is between Republican Mike Johnson, the incumbent, and Republican Joshua Morott. Louisiana holds open elections without a partisan primary. If a candidate gets 50% of the vote, they are declared the winner. If not, the top two candidates go to a runoff. In the 5th Congressional District, three candidates will appear on the ballot: Republican Julia Letlow, the incumbent; Republican Vinny Mendoza; and Democrat Michael Vallien. In the 6th Congressional District, four candidates will appear on the ballot: Republican Elbert Guillory, Democrat Quentin Anderson, Democrat Wilken Jones and Democrat Peter Williams. Republican Garrett Graves is not seeking re-election for the seat after redistricting resulted in the district becoming more heavily Democratic.
