Woman seen on Coldplay 'kiss cam' with Astronomer CEO files for divorce from husband
Kristin Cabot, whose embrace with then-CEO Andy Byron and their reaction to seeing themselves on camera went viral, filed a petition for divorce last month, court documents show.
A former tech company employee seen embracing a colleague on Coldplay's audience "kiss cam" in July has filed for divorce from her husband, court documents show.
Kristin Cabot, whom New York City-based Astronomer confirmed was its chief people officer at the time, filed a petition for divorce on Aug. 13 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, triggering a process that is ongoing, the documents show.
The next hearing in the case is a scheduling conference in the family division of New Hampshire's 10th Circuit Court on Nov. 26, according to the documents.
Lawyers for the pair, as well as the parties themselves, have not responded to requests for comment.
On July 16, during a Coldplay performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Cabot was captured on the band's "kiss cam" in an embrace with Andy Byron, then Astronomer's CEO and Cabot's superior.
Their body language upon realizing they were on camera — Cabot covering her face and Byron ducking out of frame — led Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin to remark onstage, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
Three days later, Byron resigned amid a wave of news coverage. Cabot followed with her own exit from Astronomer days after that.

Human resources experts weighed in on the moment by saying that while it may have shown the two being human, it also demonstrated their failure to lead by example by either eschewing office romance or by not disclosing one. Some also said it highlighted the power dynamics and dangers of subordinate-supervisor relationships.
It's not clear if Cabot's divorce petition is connected to the attention.
Astronomer, which says it helps businesses grow and improve by using artificial intelligence, responded to the incident by hiring Martin's ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, for a satirical advertisement posted to its Instagram account.
In it, Paltrow responded to questions from the public, steering inquiries in a way that highlighted the company's core strengths.
“We’ve been thrilled so many people have a newfound interest in data workflow automation,” she said.
