    A Maine police officer is credited with saving a man’s life after pulling him over just before the driver went into cardiac arrest, NBC affiliate WCSH reports. Kennebunk Police Officer Matthew Harrington, a former emergency medical technician, pulled 84-year-old Gavin Falconer from the car and started doing chest compressions, and then used a defibrillator to treat the stricken man.

    "Obviously Mr. Falconer was very fortunate that we were right there," Harrington said. "You have a short window to defibrillate someone, and luckily for everyone involved we were right there when it happened."

    Falconer is recovering at a hospital.
